Workshop Manager [Australia]


 

About the Role

Due to an internal promotion, we now have an opening for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead and coordinate our efficient and highly productive workshop team.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinate and delegate orders
  • Monitor the performance and productivity of workshop staff
  • Identify and oversee repair of technical issues
  • Provide expertise and support to Technicians, building your teams' knowledge base
  • Ensure all work is completed within the Manufacturer Repair Times guide
  • Road test vehicles to ensure quality and safety checks are completed
  • Complete quality and timely work, as per Repair Order instructions
  • Identify additional work where required and liaise with Service Advisor's to provide feedback to customers

About You

The successful applicant will have previous experience in a fast paced workshop; A clear understanding of productivity and efficiency drivers; An understanding of how to be a Manager as well as a true Leader; Experience in effectively delegating tasks to workshop teams, in order to complete the work allocated each day.

  • Current Manual Driver's Licence (essential)
  • Previous experience as a Workshop Manager or Senior Technician
  • Understand the importance of WHS
  • Qualified eg Certificate III Automotive (Mechanical – Light Vehicle)
