Student Navigator
Join our dynamic Student Engagement Team at UCOL- Te Pukenga and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Student Success Navigator to join us on our Manawatu Campus. This permanent full-time position will focus on supporting students, building strong relationships with both students and staff, and fostering a thriving learning community.
As a Student Success Navigator, your primary goal will be to drive engagement among students in their respective programs of study. By delivering exceptional services, you will maximize the success of all students and promote a collaborative learning environment. This role will also involve facilitating clear communication channels between students, their families, and lecturers to develop effective support systems that address learning challenges. We are committed to embracing the Whare Tapa Wha model of education delivery, creating an active community of learning that enriches the student experience.
Working alongside a team of Navigators and Advisors, you will provide dedicated support to students in specific programs, helping them enhance their engagement and overcome obstacles. We are seeking a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, age groups, and developmental stages is essential to excel in this role.
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (or rev exp?)
- Adaptability and comfort in a fast-paced environment
- Reflective practice skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and a caring nature
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- A valid driver's licence
